Pareidolia

Pareidolia

Pareidolia is where we see faces in things, like in clouds, on the surface of the moon, or, like in the above image where there are several, on gnarled tree trunks. There is also a tiny little figure in the bark of the tree above, waving right at you, but he doesn’t seem to happy for some reason.
