The Age of Steam

7802 Bradley Manor Steam Engine

This is 7802 Bradley Manor, a steam locomotive built in 1938 at its Swindon Works. It was withdrawn from service in 1965, and sent to a scrapyard in 1966. Doomed to be broken down for spare parts, it was rescued in 1979, and in 1993 it was back in service again on the Severn Valley Railway and on various other mainline excursions. It was featured in the Disney movie “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe” in 2005.
