I think we sometimes forget we are of nature ourselves, and are a part of the whole living organism planet Earth. Break every living thing down on the planet to its base ingredients and we get a bunch of cells striving to stay alive. Our particular assembly of cells makes us the dominating species for now, but as a new year dawns, let us live in harmony with each other, and every other living thing on our only lifeboat floating through the cold, dark depths of space, the third rock from the sun.
