Staffordshire Icefields

Scenes of Staffordshire at the end of the last Ice Age, some 11,500 years ago? Well, if H. G. Wells kindly let me borrow his Time Machine to go back and get an aerial shot, maybe. But, of course, this would be very difficult in reality.

In reality they are photographs of ice patterns which I discovered had formed on the roof of my car over night, which kind of took me back a bit – although not quite to the last Ice Age. After about half an hour it had all been melted by the sun.

Nature never ceases to amaze me, and I am like a child in wonderment at the world., such is beauty in the smallest and simplest of things. These are my very first photographs of 2017, and I could not have wished for a better start to the New Year.
