Good Morning Wonderful World!

April Dawn

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world

I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world

The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
They’re really saying I love you

I hear babies crying, I watch them grow
They’ll learn much more than I’ll never know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world

“What A Wonderful World” written by BobThiele and George David Weiss, and sung by Louis Armstrong. Released in 1967.

I think we should all listen to this song from time to time.

  1. Love this song Pete. Thanks for reminding me of these lyrics. I love Louis Armstrong songs. I sat here reading these lyrics and singing in my mind. πŸ™‚ (I would have sang out loud, but my husband is listening to the news on t.v.) Ha

  2. I agree…..and sunrise is one of the best times of day. I wish I lived on the other side of my apartment block and could see it without getting dressed and going outdoors.

Louis Armstrong’s rendition of this song is priceless.

    • Although I am fortunate enough to catch the sun rising from my bedroom window, it would be nice to see it set also, but this goes down beyond a hill on the other side of the house. I love dawn and dusk, the light is so awe-inspiring and beautiful. Thank you for your lovely comment πŸ™‚

  3. A timeless, beautiful song Pete that always resonates with me and what a glorious sunrise photo! Looks like it’s rising near the masts where I live!
